The 5th republican conference on the topic "Modern challenges and opportunities for the  development of the military industry of Armenia" was held at the National Research University of the RA Ministry of Defense. This year it has also been organized jointly by the National Research University of the RA Ministry of Defense and the RA Academy of Public Administration.

ArmInfo. On September 7, the court satisfied the petition of the defense side to cancel the preventive measure against former Deputy Chief of Staff of the  National Assembly Arsen Babayan.

To note, the prosecutor did not object to this motion.  According to Judge Harutyun Manukyan, the court took into account, in  particular, the behavior shown by Babloyan during the preliminary  investigation and judicial investigation, as well as the position of  the prosecutor.

This information is confirmed by the  Prosecutor's Office. According to the source, the decision was made  by the supervising prosecutor, who concluded that the indictment was  not confirmed.

ArmInfo.The preliminary investigation in the criminal case was completed, in which former Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia Ara  Babloyan and former Deputy Head of the Staff of the National Assembly  of the Republic of Armenia Arsen Babayan are accused. According to  the Special Investigation Service, the case with the indictment has  been transferred to the supervising prosecutor with a motion to send  it to court.

ArmInfo. Former Deputy Chief of Staff of the Parliament Arsen Babayan intends to seek an end to his criminal prosecution. Recall that he was charged with part 1 of  article 38-300 (complicity in usurping state power) and part 1 of  article 314 (official forgery) of the RA Criminal Code.

ArmInfo. Head of the Public Council, Vazgen Manukyan, admitted that he was surprised at the criminal case against parliamentary Speaker Ara Babloyan. At a press  conference on October 30, Manukyan said the charges are based on a  <wrong semicolon>.

ArmInfo. Artsakh Ombudsman  Artak Beglaryan and head of the Helsinki Committee of Armenia Avetik  Ishkhanyan wrote to the criminal prosecution body with a proposal to  change the preventive measure of Arsen Babayan under their personal  guarantee. The lawyers of Babayan reported this.

ArmInfo. Former Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia Ara Babloyan insists that Gagik Harutyunyan signed a statement on the resignation of the  post of chairman of the Constitutional Court on March 1, 2018. He  voiced his stance in an interview with the Armenian service of Radio  Liberty.

The Armenian Ombudsman Arman Tatoyan demanded clarification from the Special Investigation Service (SIS) in connection with the arrest of the former deputy head of the National Assembly Apparatus Arsen Babayan. It became known the  day before that the former deputy head of the RA National Assembly  was detained for official forgery with a group of officials in the  process of resigning of the powers of the former chairman of the  Constitutional Court Gagik Harutyunyan.

A group of officials, in the process of resigning the powers of the former chairman of the Constitutional Court, Gagik Harutyunyan, guided by group interests, committed a documentary forgery, the press service of the Special Investigation  Service (SIS) said.  The report says that as a result of the  investigative actions, it was decided on suspicion of committing a  crime to detain citizen A. B, the former deputy head of the RA NA  apparatus (Arsen Babayan - Ed. note).
